Vocal 1977. HSPVA was one of the most wonderful experiences in my life! As the last of six siblings I needed to feel special and always felt so privileged just to be there. While in 8th grade, Pat Bonner was my choir teacher. The next year she landed a job at 'PVA and encouraged me to apply. I applied, auditioned and was accepted in art, drama and vocal, but chose vocal, of course to be with Ms. Bonner. I considered myself in the middle achievers, but I was uniquely awaken and my life was never the same! Particularly powerful was the integrated world view that I learned through the combination of the arts and academics. This approach shaped me dramatically. I can't imagine myself without it! HSPVA significantly impacted my life. What words are sufficient gratitude to my fellow students and fabulous teachers?
