Hello to all! My brother, Deaderick McClung, graduated in 1980. Sadly, we lost him in 1991 to AIDS. Only 29 years old. I almost went to HSPVA, but our family moved to far Southwest Houston and we were riding the bus at 6:30 in the morning my 8th grade and Deaderick's 9th grade year at Lanier. Deaderick was resourceful, really wanted to go to PVA, and made it happen. He also had help from great friends giving him rides, or letting him crash on the couch during school week. I was hoping to connect with any alumni that has a memory to share about Deaderick, good or bad. I loved him dearly, but Deaderick could be quite blunt at times. I made a scrapbook for my Mom a few years ago and had several teachers write letters to include, like Miss Bonner. Any contribution will be added for my Mom. I I personally have great memories of attending HSPVA events, spaghetti suppers, concerts, and plays and remember meeting many of you at school and parties. Hope to hear from you!
