(Drama) Considering that the '72-'73 yearbook for Class of '74 was not a "book" at all, but a box full of loose sheets, I'm really impressed at how grow'd up we done got. Not only a reunion, but one with actual planning. Who'd a thunk it?

Much gratitude to the Committee for all the obvious good work. I bow to the Buddha nature of your organizing acumen.

As far as my story, graduated from SMU in 1978 with BFA in Theater and BA in English. Made a very modest living playing guitar and singing in fern bars, the Playboy Club (Dallas) and other lounge lizard type venues. Eventually found work with a touring show band called Dash Riprock and the Dragons. We were one of those mezzanine level acts that had success enough to have crew on salary, fly vs. driving for days when we played out of town and enjoyed enough celebrity to get special treatment on occasion. I met some interesting characters when we opened for bigger acts, playing small stadiums, Convention Centers and industrial shows. Sadly, drugs and alcohol eventually sank us and in 1987 with a pregnant wife and thinning hair (which was NOT OK in the 80's) I left showbiz and became a stockbroker. We ain't called stockbrokers no more, but I'm still in the investment business.

I’m back on the rock-n-roll scene and play a few times a month for Charity Events (free) and in dens of iniquity (for American money). Oddly enough, it’s very trendy these days for paying customers to want to see old guys chopping out Classic Rock/Country/R&B/Punk and the infrequent dinner music engagement. See y’all next year.

Best wishes to all!

THANK YOU, COMMITTEE!!!!
