Photos: 1974 / 2015. Since 1990, I am the full-time, tenured Principal Horn of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, Zubin Mehta, conductor. See their webpage about me at the address below. We give two hundred concerts per year all over the world and at our Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv, with the major international conductors and soloists. I also worked as Principal Horn with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London, L'Orchestre National de France in Paris at the request of Kurt Masur, the Brussels Opera and the Monte Carlo Opera. I was guest soloist in horn concerti with orchestras in Europe and the US, as well as with Mehta and the IPO, and have performed in chamber music series in Europe, the US and Israel. I teach when time permits, and claim three former students among my colleagues in the IPO. I studied in London, Chicago and New York, where I was a scholarship recipient at Juilliard for three years and performed as a substitute with the New York Philharmonic for four years. I am a husband and father, which is the most important thing, especially as I turn sixty and most of my friends and relatives have passed away. HSPVA was a highlight of my brief time in Houston, but it was more than forty years ago and a few continents since then. We move on, forget -- and get too busy to attend reunions, sorry to say.
